Let me empty the pissbucket for a moment.

Lately i am getting bored in TLM, there's been 2 months now.. without any action in TLM, and ive been into more pick up groups then i want to be.

I joined an org to do things with, without having to be too dependant on strangers.

I know TLM is basicly meant to be a social org, but nowadays even missing the social part. As we had alot of new members lately.. but tend to connect only with people they already know, and fail to respond to any message not even a simple "hi", they farm the city and are off.

Now with the new patch i realy see an opening, there's instances now.. not 1 but actually 3. Ive not been able to do them yet, cause basicly i am about to vomit in sickness cause of all the cheesy pick up groups.

Id say, we need at least try to organize something every week. We still have the 200+ players for it.

Too be honest, i myself have been looking for other orgs. So i made an alt and got into Nexus with it. Still i am not very active on the alt, and dont know the new org well. Basicly i am still with TLM.

I am not trying to push anyone by saying this.
I just hope we can get our org sorted out.
We have alot of new players, including myself.

Anyways thanks for listening, i jsut needed to share.

I totally agree with you. We need more action in TLM. And we can't wait 4-5 weeks for it beacuse it will be to late then.

Check my topic in RAIDS about the APF instance.

MORE TLM ACTION! We used to do ALOT of things. Biodome,sl,axp you name it. Lets try to get the good old TLM spirit back! Alot of city AXP<3<3<3<3<3 and get some people to 220 in SL.

Agreed and seconded (thirded? is that even a word?) As soon as my PC is back up to running any more than IE and a screensaver I intend to be back in and getting as much as possible done. I have a bunch of toons that are good prospects and well on the way to endgame, and to get there they need xp and phats. The best way...well the most fun way...to get those things is with orgmates.

What is happening in the org right now seems to be that a good amount of the new members are lowbies. There is nothing wrong with that, but
they are not really getting to know the older members, as alot of us are playing on higher toons and not working in the lower ranges where the newbies are except for the occasional twink project. For my part, after next monday/tuesday, I am going to focus on my doc for tl7 and intend to switch to any toon thats in range of whats currently going on in the org (that means I need to get a toon to tl7 quick, I've seen 150 to 220 done in 4 days, but I think it'll take closer to a month for me to do it part time)

For sake of reference, if anyone needs some support in the following ranges my playable toons are:

49 Advy
50 Trader
85 NT
104 Agent
136 MP
163 Doc

150 Crat will be playable as soon as I figure out his setup
170 MA will be ready again as soon as I figure out a cheap PvM setup
tl3 Keeper will be playable soon
tl3/4 Engi will be ready soon

If the problem is just getting people to higher levels, I can help - anyone who needs backup in any level range is welcome to call on me to blitzkrieg the xp - the forums would be a great way to organize some low xp teaming as well as the high level raids everyone is talking about.

As for starting raids, no one is seeming to really be taking the reigns. We are tending to say (and DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY! - I know no one wants to sound like they're taking over, but you gotta do it - btw Idree's new APF thread was spot on - don't beat around the bush, go all out) "Umm, hey, guys, umm we're not doing anything. umm, can we like maybe, if its convenient for everyone, um maybe do a few raids or something?" I know no1 wants to step on any toes, but if you REALLY want to get a raid going, just start a thread that says, "Hey. HI Raid Wednesday the so-and-so date. Be there or be square." Post it in bot news and mention it every other sentence when your logged in. Bug people, badger people, make sure it sticks in their head so even if THAT raid doen't pan out its sticking in their skull picking a way at some part of their brain till they wanna let it out by either drilling a whole in the side of their head or actually doing a raid. Trust me, I've run alot of orgs, and you need to be very ultra-proactive If you want to get sh*t done. Personally, I don't have enough knowledge of endgame content to plan/organize raids, but I'm willing to make even more of an ass of myself promoting them if it helps... Smile

Finally, I know that its just very few of us on the forums. This is not good. When the forums die the org is not gonna do very well in the short term. Ali has repeatedly set messages in the bot for all the new members to get on and start posting. So where is everyone? :? I think we, those who ARE active here really need to push every single new member to be active on the forums. And for that matter some of the vets could be here more.... Every new member should post in the getting-to-know thread (yeah I'm a hypocrite it took me 3 months to post there).

Getting people active will snowball - I bet some of the newbies don't even look at the forums more that once, only to see that some of the threads have been sitting there for 2 years, and don't bother to check back. As soon as people start realizing that something IS happening here, and theres stuff to troll/agree/disagree with, people will return and come back to debate, agree, and just plain old ham-it-up.

Theres my (ridiculously long) 2 cents (why do you think I chose Ergo as an avatar? lol). I'm sure I'll add more as it comes to me Smile

I've noticed this for some time now but didnt want to admit it, my toons are all in levy cept my new crat that has joined a friends org. Even though they are a small froup i've been talking with them more as there are some aussies there so more in my timezone.

I've also been inviting a few new people to levy that have wanted in (dont worry i check history and ask around b4 i invite) i also leave tells for ali to inform her.

I still like levy and the people but over last few months friends have either left for AOC or IRL stuff and most that r left seem to do their own thing, which we all do now and then but the umm glue? that used to hold us together as a team/group is starting to fade i think.

As for apf i been in teams with a levy or so but have actually been on more org raids with Unity/Omni-tek Defenders (dual org) of late.

I think since hteres more aussies in OTD theres more peeps there in my timezone than in levy and i have to admit i been thinking about moving to them.

I dont hate levy and still like everyone but i've been bored lately and anything we plan like big events always seem to happen at 3-5am my time.

Well this is my view soz its all a bit longwinded. Levy saved me long ago when i was really upset over my previous org and i'll always love them.

Im still thinking about stuff, lets just leave it at that.

Yeah I've seen it in a few orgs now, without strong leaders orgs always fall apart sooner or later from people going their own way.
We need people who have the initiative to make things happen and keep things fun.

I'm just a person who sometimes offers ideas and goes along with w/e to help out, not a leader, and definitely not a strong one Smile

Past few weeks been more active in other games as I need a little break and Jorris PC was in the crapper so we were more active on older games which required less sexiness from the PC's running them.

Good news is Jorri's parts should be in by this wed.
And should be sexied up bout an hour or so after he gets the parts.

Likely the hour following completion of his PC will be spent humping it which I hope not to be around for as he can be rather obscene about it ;-)

As sexporc said, my PC will be up and running this week (parts set to arrive Wednesday the first). As I'm off that day, immediately subsequent to benchmarking all the new parts and playing Bioshock for the first time with it not being a slideshow, AO is gonna be priority A1 for me - I'm gonna be powerlevelling my doc for APF use, so if anyone in range of 163 needs xp, ado is gonna be my home for a day or two (I can solo the hecklers there, but extra DD would make it alot quicker Smile )

I'm going to put my s10/totw/foremans/other lowbie twinks on hold in the interest of getting more active in high level org business etc since those toons hold more limited use (if anyone needs anything in those zones, I will be able to help but not solo them until the twinks are done).

I do need to do HI at some point as well as higher SL zones, so there will be times I'll be looking to you higher level peeps for guidance and help and looking to everyone else for raiding support.

Anyway, I'll see you all later this week, and then lets get some sh*t started!

~jorri

update: internet is off atm (leeching my neighbors' wireless) back on friday unless comcast decides to be dicks.

My account is frozen until Friday.
After spending most of last week on AO I decided to spend some time back over on MtGO.

Will be back this weekend for sure though.
Forgot to mention it until today.

Still need to decide which toon will be my first 220 but I'm currently thinking Esproc will be.

Once I get him up there I'll definitely be needing to do allot of stuff ;)

I want to thank all of you that stuck around when the org was in a slump.

Rockempire was (and still is) the general in charge of organizing org raids. When he took a break last spring, no one stepped up to take his place. That is part of the reason we didn't do anything for so long. Also, not having him around to tank/doc stuff put us between a rock and a hard place to get things done. He is back, and extremely active again, so I hope things have been looking up. I feel as though they have.

I am currently working on a doctor for the sole purpose of helping with org raids. It will be much easier to get raids done if we don't have to look for either a doc or a tank. So this is my personal goal for you guys. Smile

Please remember to post in the raid section of the forum about raids you would like to do for items you might need, or just for fun. I know there is some Biodome happening this weekend, so I hope some of you will be able to attend that. Raids will primarily be scheduled for weekends due to my and Rock's busy weekday schedule. If you want to do raids on your own outside of the ones Rock schedules, please feel free. We will attend if possible. Smile

As always, I am always free to talk with any of you privately about any concerns or comments you might have about the org. I think I am very approachable, so please don't be shy.

Thanks,

Ali
